Auto White Balance issue

It is not the first time I see this spectacular failure of iPhone AWB (Auto White Balance).

The photo above was shot with an iPhone 4, but similar results can be “obtained” with an iPhone 3G.
If you have a scene in shadow filled up with yellow and brown, the brown becomes blue.

See the blue in the background? Well it’s a brown fence. Pure Lo-Fi!
